Eurotruck Simulator 2 and more
Late november 2025 Scs software released the next chapter of Euro truck Simulator 2: Nordic Horizons. It’s northern Scandinavia all the way up to the arctic! And I have to say, it’s wonderful! It does have long routes in between cities, especially up north, which is logical. But the scenery is excellent, the details and landmarks are awesome, and I have a lot of fun cruising the roads in Scandinavia.
The Halloween event was something else this year! Scs software made a new map where the main road was closed and you had to take a detour through a dense and spooky forest to reach the dropoff point for your cargo! The first delivery I got stuck on just about every branch out there and found the whole endeavor pretty annoying! No more, I said!
But I tried again a few days later, since I couldnt really let an event go by ;). And it was much easier once you got to know the route a little bit. What also helped was to figure out the map without a trailer. Anyway, I did take a bunch of screenshots, but it was all rather dark so not all that many were usable.
But I have a gallery here for you anyway.
In july the Iowa DLC was released for ATS! Scssoftware knocked it out of the park once again. Very nice scenery, cities and farms are well done and there is a lot of sight seeing to be done. I participated in the cruising iowa event, screenshots are below. The event conclusion was posted on the scssoftware blog.

The Missouri DLC was released in april! And of course we did have an event, which I finished recently. Here are some screenshots.
These two events are still going, they overlapped during the Xmas holiday! A nice opportunity to go trucking during the holiday season :). I completed both.
The Greece was quite a bit of work, 15 deliveries over 200km and it seemed the time traveled on the boats in between island didn’t count. The Xmas event, this time names ‘back to winterland’ was the same as last year. The winterland itself was a little improved with better lightning etc. this year. It was fun though.

And now we’re heading towards the Greece expansion next week and of course the Xmas delivery event.
The christmas event this year was very special. SCS software made a seperate Xmas area where the packages had to be delivered! You can read more about it in the summary below. Here are some of my screenshots.

Here are a bunch of screenshots of Idaho. It has become one of my favorite states / DLC of the game. I am sure the upcoming Colorado DLC will be awesome as well !
Every christmas for a few years now, SCS has a christmas event where you deliver Christmas gifts. And this year I participated once again. Got my 12 packages delivered, which was fun to do during the holidays around new years and christmas, in both Eurotruck & American truck sim. And I did some extra, they also pay very well, which is nice for ATS, since I am not very rich yet in that one ;). Here are some screenshots !
