September 24th the South Dakota DLC for American Truck sim was released. And I have to say it’s excellent. Biggest selling point for South Dakota is Mount Rushmore of course, but the rest of the state is very well done as well.
Other sites to be seen:
- Badlands National Park, a dramatic maze of layered rock spires and buttes unlike anywhere else in America.
- Deadwood, the legendary gold rush town where Wild Bill Hickok played his final hand.
- Missouri River crossings, where the great river divides the rolling east from the rugged west of the state.
Also released was the Ford car pack. So you can now drive around in a regular car in ATS and visit tourist spots. Haven’t done this that much yet, the cars have a somewhat odd feeling to them. It’ll take some time to get used to them I guess.
The next DLC will be for Europe Truck Sim II, where we get Iceland! And soon there after the coaches DLC, so we can drive tourists around. Looking forward to that one.
